The fastest TT Z is low 11. We get that with bolt on mods. No comparison. A Z cant even be in the conversation right now. A Z belongs in a 86 wrx STi conversation. Maybe you can throw in a base cayman for shyts and giggles? But in a C8 conversation. lmao.... that would be delusion city.

I doubt the Z06 will start at $120,000. If the base vette is $60,000 then we're looking at about $85,000 to start for a Z06. Granted a decently opted Z06 will be $100,000. Loaded up probable $125k tops.

It's coming with a twin turbo v8 with flat plane crank. That's gonna hurt!!! I can see at least a 2.5 to 60 in the Z06. Unfortunately sometimes we cant afford even the best deals on sports cars. But the Z06 sounds too good to be true. I wonder whose gonna make a corvette competitor? Ford? Nissan? Does anybody have the balls? Probably not?

Besides, I could have bought a ZR1 if I really wanted one. The thing is, I don't need that kind of attention. I don't like the attention and peoples attitude with my wife's C7 Grandsport vert. Some good folks out there but the ugly folks who get pissed because you have one I can do without. I am hiding out in a 370ztt. My choice. Like I said, to each his own.

Oh my bad.... I stopped following when they started saying the FI Kit can get tuned down to 11.1 was the fastest I heard and they seemed like they couldn't get more out of it for a hot minute. They started with 11.9. And struggled to get 11.1 So I stopped following.

I'm just curious. This 9 second Z? Is it a stroker kit added to the powerplant cuz what I heard the 3.7 is a 11 second car MAX? But shyt could've changed?

That rear diffuser a lil O.D. BUT with those specs... True enthusiasts won't buy this car for looks when you getting this much performance for the money.

Phunk was a big part of that IIRC. It's all about getting that extra power to the ground. Not difficult. Just takes time and effort to figure out the limiting factors. Then add money and parts :driving:

Do a search on here. It is Justin's Z. It was actually a stock block LOL. One of the major reason's for him getting into the 9's was tires and stock ride height suspension. The rest of the car was bone stock except for the CJ Motorsports TT parts and twin fuel pump setup.

Color me impressed. Damn... I gave up my Z cuz I couldn't see myself putting $30k in mods for an 11 second car. But it's awesome that the Z was finally figured out!!! Makes me happy! And knowing it was done without a 4.2 stroke kit makes me ecstatic!!! Good shyt!!!:driving:

Joby and my best friend Brian have been wanting me to take mine to the drag strip. Maybe one day. I am just not a big drag racing kind of guy.

One of those things that crossed my mind when thinking long term with the Z vs. moving onto grander cars. Maybe something to live with longevity vs. live through temporarily.

As if grocery and mall visits are already a PITA.

Any sports car I've owned I've gotten a lot of hate. It doesnt matter what it's been. People look at sports cars with hate and envy because as the years progress. It gets harder to own one. The enthusiast landscape gets smaller. People make concessions and settle for sporty. I remember when I first bought my Camaro. I was at the walmart parking lot and I opened the passenger door to throw out some trash I had in the car. I flipped the backseat and took out a bag. Then I walked to the trash and threw the stuff out. Went inside to buy my neighbor's son a christmas gift and when I came out... there was ketchup all over my car. All cuz I spent a whole 20 seconds on the passenger side of my car.
When I got the Z people were always trying to tell me about all the cars that were faster. I replied by saying none of the cars you mention handle like mine and most people that own cars can drive them like I can. And I always put my money where my mouth was... so people learned to respect the Z.
Mustang's fly me by no matter what I've driven. But now that I'm in a camaro. I get fly bys 10 times a day. Its fvckin annoying. Mustang owners are the biggest douche bags. The funny part though is... they do the fly bys right before making a turn. They know better than to stay on a str8 with me. But anyway... point is...

Owning a sports car is amazing if you focus on why you bought a sports car in the first place!! The social aspect of ownership is tedious. That's why I prefer just being somewhat of a loner when it comes to car culture. You and a friend can both have cars. He crashes, it changes his outlook. He chooses not to have another sports cars then over time your friend envies you.

1st world problems. Totally stupid.

I do have issues driving my 370z but nothing like the Corvette. Some folks go over the top. You don't even have to be driving it. If they know you have one, the devil horns come out. Some people are just horrible. F'm though. I am going to enjoy life.
