Ford wants to build all of these SUV's and trucks. They are trying to get all the money out of them before the new gas laws hit. Then switch to electric vehicles. That's the way I see it. That's like FCA dropping the 392 for the 426 next year. Lets push what sells the best now. Maximize cash flow. So that we have some later on.

Ford will dump poor selling cars.Go with high profit trucks and Suvs.Gear up for the electrics like it or not.
