my dd was a '12 Si sedan, fun little car - 200hp 174tq, the car was only 2900lbs so it was plenty of pep. Squeezed out 37mpg on a 700mile road trip, constantly averaged low 30mpg in the city, and high 20's if I was flogging it. It was just a great car overall... huge trunk, awesome transmission - everything was functional, tbh it was a sleeper - from a slow roll it went toe to toe vs current gen WRX.

test drove the new Si, its pure garbage in comparison... its probably just as fast but it runs out of steam by 5k rpm (Exactly where the previous gen was just ramping up).

the car itself is nice ergonomically but the new 1.5T is nothing to write home about. Its not slow for a DD but the turbo experience is just delivered in a poor fashion.
They should've just put the 2.0T from the type R and detuned it to 250hp, everyone would be happy.
I guess they were scared no one would want to buy the overpriced autozone special type R on 20" dubs if they offered the same drivetrain.

The new accord has the type R drivetrain but its a much larger vehicle, again no help for those who wanted a light/nibmle daily with a nice engine.
