Same here, we also have to keep in mind that this is a prototype they are unveiling and we all know how much nissan can change the design from prototype to final production. Just think back to what the gtr prototype looked like when they unveiled it way back when to when the final production model was revealed.

That's not entirely accurate, but it's possible. From what I remember the final design was established in the summer of 2018 at the projected cost of 240 million dollars vs $1 billion for an all-new rear wheel drive basis.

My own knowledge from a few months ago was an official job 1 of September 2021. Basically that's roughly 36-37 months since styling was approved.

What exactly do you mean by 'the final design was established in Summer 2018'? What exactly was established then?

Doesn’t it look like the chrome strip that runs along the roofline is flat black on that car? Would be great if that’s an option.

If it's 'chrome' I can see quite a few people getting the vinyl wrap out and changing it.

Do you like the 240-esque headlamp scoops? It's our first proper look at them. Similar to the 240z, but stretched.

Edit - and for all those MT freaks - at 16 seconds it looks a bit like he could be wrapping his hand around a manual gearshift

I love everything I’ve seen so far. They can’t make it any clearer that they used the S30 as the main influence.

If a manual trans is offered hopefully they have figured out how to produce a reliable slave cylinder and a 5th gear syncro that's up for the challenge.

Slave cylinders agree, 5th gear I've never had an issue with in either of the 370's I've had.... then again I'm pretty religious about using each gear when driving and not skipping gears like some folks like to do

They also teased the tail light design coming from the 300ZX.

They've given us practically no info about this car and I already want one so bad that I can't focus on anything else.

I believe at 00:15 they teased the manual transmission. Dont think they wouldve shown that if it was auto. They really want us excited that itll actually come in stick shift

As I stated before, there will be a manual for the base and sport models and only an auto for the Nismo.
