Looking at the hood, roofline, c-pillar...it is almost identical to the z34

Now I wonder how new of a platform is underneath and whether they really did just re-use the z34 with a new engine and tweaked front and rear end

but stuff like a better transmission, brakes, suspension bits, if it all bolted up the way R32/33/34, Z32 and S-chassis stuff basically all was cross compatible for a decade . . . that'd be cool

To cut development costs, they just modified the Z34 chassis. Nissan is not going to spend billions on an all new chassis for a car that is not high volume. Throw in the V6 twin turbo from the Infiniti Q60 Red Sport, a manual transmission, updated interior and tech. Done! They didn't partner with another manufacturer like Toyota did with BMW either. I believe the GT-R is going to be a goner. They just don't sell enough of them to bother. They saw the failure of the NSX which has spooked them.

Wow! Who would have thought that in such uncertain times it would be Nissan to come out with a beacon like this. I am too excited to see the remarkable homage that is being paid to the S30 even with only a view of the silhouette. Great news today, Gents!

I love they brought back the hood bump ala the 07-08 vq35hr, I loved that on my 07 solar orange.

The Nismo version will look like a champ if they do a body kit and rear spoiler/Wing. I hope they fix it to fit the taller guys with no issues like the original S30.

In order to do that, they'd need to re-work the chassis so the floor pan sits lower. The roofline does NOT look any different and the rear sloping hatch creates issues for the seating position

Yes, it looks blockier but perhaps a little more masculine. Love how it is 1000 times cleaner and more mature than the Supra. The Supra looks like it was designed by a 12-year old kid. Love that there is no horrible duckbill spoiler. If the tail lights are truly inspired from the 300ZX tail lights, it should be terrific!

Motortrend lightened an image and you can see more detail and sculpting on the sides.
