^^I like the way you think. Your observations would make an awesome Z imo.

Isnt the 4c only 2300lbs because it lacks every amenity possible, even a radio and A/C?

Oh, I see know, the one that was made a few years back was 2300lbs, same one they had on top gear, but the current one, the one actually available, it 2500lbs and has stuff like radio, a/c, cruise, etc.

like i said before, the z should never have a 4 banger for its power plant, its meant to have 6.

if you drop a 4 banger turbo, just bring back the 240sx. competitive with all the new 4 cylinder engines on the market now.

Well it needs engine options to compete with other 4 Cyn cars. If it can't stay competitive with price then history will repeat itself. If the rumors r true then its going to happen. Making the Z a different style hell not even the same car

Default $60K for next new Z35?

^ I agree with most of the above, only I don't think the Sti is that ugly and you can still lease Evos without having to worry about resale. Those two and the Z are the only decent Japanese options in the US right now.

I do hope Honda, Toyota, Nissan and Mazda come up with some exciting fast sports cars. But I'm keeping my hopes low, the world seems to be going electric and it's all about MPG and HOV lanes - and weird funky design lines - now.

The problem with Toyota and Honda, if they ever come out with sporty cars, it will be a 4 crapper with some sort of hybrid

Personally I don't mind if its a 4 cylinder, I just want it to be fast. If its a sports car it needs to accelerate well. Even the Lotus Elise is a 4 cylinder but it goes. So I don't care if they achieve that by making it lighter or adding a turbo or just a bigger engine, it needs to be fast and handle well.

Exactly. Cars like the BRZ and Miata can be so much better with a turbo. If Honda-Toyota-Nissan-Mazda can give me something like that, I will still buy it regardless of whether its a 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder.

have you looked at a BRZ or Miata? a turbo isn't helping their cases......

but yes I see the argument that either a 4banger or a v6 works if done with enough HP and correct vehicle weight. but lets be honest here. to keep the Z in the desired price range they aren't going to put it full of CF parts to drop weight. it's gonna have to be made faster through HP so a TT 3.0L V^ with 400HP seems sensible. I hope lol

Also the sound of the car. The 4crappers sounds like a lawn mower. Weak.
Unless its a sti engine cause of the boxer style engine.
