My local Australian Nissan dealer was told that the US 400Z will be manufactured in the US but ours will come from Japan.

Can anyone confirm that some will be built in the US?

He is a moron, sorry. All Z's are made at the Tochigi plant in Japan. The engine is made at Iwaki, Fukushima, Japan. Nissan has no factory in the US where they would have an assembly line for a Z. They make sedans, SUV's, pickups, and commercial vans in the US.

The fact that the yellow will only be produced for 240 units makes the middle class wannabe gucci part of me want one.

That said, if I don't score one of those, a PPW will get my pre-order. Pretty identical to the Proto and I'm alright with it, despite the grille. Who's with me?

Good gosh Nissan what have you done:

"Vehicle speed-sensitive electric power steering (electric rack)"

If anyone has driven a Q60 you know how dead the steering in that car feels. It just sucks the life out of the car completely.

The blue does something for me.

Shame I don't have space for 2 (nice) cars.

I'd like to see what the actual numbers are a 15% 0 to 60 improvement seems good

Simple math would dictate a low 4sec 0-60 time.

This site has a few more details than that reveal -

No 6 piston caliper. It would of been nice if it was slightly more hp. Most people knew it was going to be 400hp. Why not 420hp. That would of been a suprise. And the 6 piston calipet

I'll be in my bunk!
