Default Clutch pedal noise?

I just noticed tonight on the way home..my clutch pedal seems to be rubbing/creaking somewhere. I can feel it in the pedal and there is a slight noise. I tried putting some WD-40 on it but no luck. Maybe I just didn't hit the right spot . Anyone else that has had this issue?

I think I have narrowed it down to the master cylinder, but I'm not 100% sure. I tried spraying that too but it still creaks :/

41 views and not a single person has an opinion or some experience with this issue? To the dealership it is..

After an autox event last year, my clutch developed what I can describe at as a "click". It's slightly audible, and I can feel it in the pedal when pressed about halfway in. It's like one of the pucks has a chunk missing. From researching here, I believe others have dealt with the same.

Not sure if all that is what you're describing...

Just noticed you are in Wisconsin....it's cold up there....my winter beater Cavalier has a "creaky" clutch pedal as well, only when it's pretty darn cold out. It goes away when the car interior is warm.

This isn't my car or my video..but the noise sounds EXACTLY like this..
370z Clutch - YouTube

I took it to a mechanic today and he tried greasing it up like I did..still has the noise. He said I would have to come back when they would have some more time to mess with it. Tried getting into the Nissan dealer today but they are booked. Also, the creaking seems to go away when I remove the helper spring..which leads me to believe it isn't an issue to worry about besides it being annoying . If I press the clutch in slow enough, I can feel the clicking/creak as well as hear it.

I had the same issue with mine, I sprayed Jig a Lube, same thing as WD40 and it went away.

Just messed with it some more..it is 100% the helper spring. I put some tape on each end of the spring and reinstalled:no noise for about 5 minutes. I don't know why the grease isn't doing the trick. I've tried probably a dozen times now. The noise is driving me insane!! .

I had that same issue when I put on the helper spring. I couldn't stand it so I took the spring off completely. Sound went away. Now I just drive it without any spring in there and love it!

I thought about doing that but I'm still on the fence about it . I just set up an appointment with the Nissan dealer for tomorrow afternoon. Guess I will just wait and see what happens. It's to the point where I would consider trading the car in if it cannot be fixed. It's pathetic that my POS winter beater drives quieter than my Z.

Terrible reason to sell the car. Try driving it without the spring. I absolutely love it. Or maybe Nissan could do something about it. Either way. Good luck man!

Went to the dealer this afternoon. They tried greasing it..no luck again. They said the pedal assembly would have to be replaced. Quoted me $549 ( like 150 for labor and like 350 for the part) !! I laughed at them when I saw the paper..no way Im paying for that. I'll either buy an aftermarket assembly (JDM?) or try to find a factory one cheaper. Hopefully I'll be able to install it myself
