The hatch has to lift enough to clear the latch, that is all. It's probably less than two inches, just enough to get some fingers in there. Educ8r - sucks

The hatch has to lift enough to clear the latch, that is all. It's probably less than two inches, just enough to get some fingers in there.
Educ8r - sucks that the SM was worthless where you went, but that's how the tech gets paid and how the shop is able to write it off as a warranty. Told me the same thing, but having multiple mechanics in the family I already knew what to expect.
