U0164 Error code

Im getting this too now, I just replaced my HU so there might be something I messed up

I was told this code doesn't clear by itself, so we have to clear the code or they also told me to disconnect the battery for a few mins. I'm seeing this error right now. The light came on when I was trying to write some computer code to pull data from the OB2 interface. I had this on while I turned the engine on.

Terrible idea, probably introduced errors on the interface. So hopefully this reset works. I don't seem to be having any hvac issues.

I had this code a yr ago and erased it and it just came back. code reads lost comm. with unified meter & a/c amp or combination meter... erased the code this morning and it just came back on. my ac is working fine. i have a pioneer head unit that was installed 2yrs ago and i feel If i go the dealership route they will pin it on that for no reason.. thoughts??
