U0164 Error code

I disconnected the batter and it cleared

I had this code a yr ago and erased it and it just came back. code reads lost comm. with unified meter & a/c amp or combination meter... erased the code this morning and it just came back on. my ac is working fine. i have a pioneer head unit that was installed 2yrs ago and i feel If i go the dealership route they will pin it on that for no reason.. thoughts??

I'd check the CAN connections. One of the connectors may be loose and losing contact intermittently. Harness routing, connector pinouts, etc are in FSM (see link in my sig).

I know this reponse was a long time ago but did you ever figure this issue out OP? I'm having the identical problems: blown fuses, heated seats, no hot or cold air, Homelink mirror and there was a radar installed also..
