Some of those fluid changes intervals are very aggressive from a time perspective. 30K for those fluids is fine, but 2 years to me is too short...3-4 makes more sense

Some of those fluid changes intervals are very aggressive from a time perspective. 30K for those fluids is fine, but 2 years to me is too short...3-4 makes more sense IMHO.
Drive belt != timing belt. IIRC VQ's use a timing chain anyway, not a belt. The drive belt is large belt around all the pulleys (alternator, AC, etc...). Some cars its a single belt, some its multiple. In my experience belts age more with time then mileage. Age of rubber, heat cycles, helps accelerate wear and cracks. Its easy to inspect. Based on all the belts I have changed, I always use OEM. Worth the extra few bucks. - b |
