I run the S-Line now...I rate it as a very pleasing sound, perfect in cruise where its a smidge louder but no drone. I wish it had a bit more anger under WOT, but I'd rather have it a bit too quiet then a bit too loud so I can't complain.

Too much is of course subjective: I prefer it to be heard as a sports car yet you should be able to leave your neighborhood at 5am and know you are not going to wake anyone.

Any one happen to have a picture of a Fast Intentions exhaust for the Nismo installed on their Roadster? If not, any pics of the non-Nismo version at the tip exit / bumper? I got a great deal on one and am having it installed soon - I understand the tips will stick out another 1” or so, and am curious what it looks like. Not sure if I’ll pay to have the back section shortened or not. Thanks!

I’ll answer my own question, as I just had it put on. Looks great IMO:

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I've done a lot of research for an axle back exhaust over the last year. I wanted to wake up the Z's exhaust note under full throttle, have a nice rumble at idle, and still be relatively quiet at highway speeds without a headache inducing drone. After watching, and hearing, many video clips on YouTube, I made my decision. The price ... $225 USD.

I purchased the Manzo axle back exhaust from ConceptZPerformance on a recent trip to the Phoenix area, and finally had a nice day here in Southern Ontario, Canada, and installed it on the Z yesterday.

I am extremely pleased with the ease of installation and fitment which was dead on perfect without needing shims of any kind, right out of the box.

And the exhaust is absolutely everything I was after. It looks great, and sounds terrific at idle, when cruising and at wide open throttle, without being obnoxious.

Bunk,

Car is under wraps tonight, but I'll get her out tomorrow and post one or two.

Seems a shame to have all of that polished stainless steel hidden under the rear of the car out of sight. The bevelled exhaust tips appear larger than the stock ones because the bevel is double sided and thicker, and the tips stick out an inch farther than the stock exhaust. But because of the overhang of the bumper cover, they are out of the way and you don't get snagged on them.

Falconquey,

As promised here are a couple of pics. A search of YouTube videos for Manzo 370z axle back exhaust will get you some sound tracks of the exhaust. You can even listen to the Infinity G37 videos, as its the same exhaust on both cars.

If you go to the ConceptZPerformance site and search for the Z34 exhaust, you see pictures there of the units.

Take note that there is an extra donut hanger bracket already welded to the driver's side resonator that is unused for the 370z (you can see it on their site on the left resonator), but it does not interfere with the installation in any way. It must be used on the G37, but clears all under body parts on the 370z and causes no issues, as its even out of sight.

Had the car out today and I'm even more impressed. Take your time through the gears, and at cruise, and you hardly know its there. But if you bash the loud peda,l it wakes up and takes command without blowing eardrums in Yugoslavia.

I'm certain there are no performance gains ... but this old guy didn't need that anyway. The Z can get me on a first name basis with every cop in town as it is.
