The fob resides on my desk while at home, not ever inside my pocket, so no chance that it's being mistakenly depressed. WTF?!?!

Now I'm paranoid...

Opening windows
The UNLOCK button operation also allows
you to open a window that is equipped with the
automatic open/close function. (See “POWER
WINDOWS” in the “2. Instruments and controls”
section.)
To open the window, push the door UNLOCK
button*2 on the Intelligent Key for about
3 seconds after the door is unlocked.

Seriously though, I've had vehicles with key fobs for years and never had an issue where I've accidentally engaged the buttons at all. Wondering if the key fob for my other vehicle parked next to the Z is somehow triggering the windows.

Sorry had to ask Young kids love pushing buttons.

Could be a possible interference issue of some sort is possible I suppose. But given that it is supposed to be a encrypted signal I don't think spurious interference should do anything. It is possible that the fob itself is defective and is detecting that the button is held when it is really just sitting there. If you have 2 fobs try leaving the battery out of one of them for a while and see what happens.

I have had the same thing happen about 5 times since i got it in august. I normally always just hang the key up when i get home, keep wondering if there was some way i pressed it but cant think of when it would have been. This morning i went out and the windows were both down. I've reset them numberous times...wondering whats causing it. Thankfully its only happened while in my garage and not parked in the parking garage at work or outside.

You can also use the actual key to lower and raise the windows. Just insert the key on the hole, turn one way to lower and the other way to raise the windows.

I had this happen when it was raining and had to drive to work with a wet butt. I went to the dealership and had them turn this feature off. I don't even understand why it was an option in the first place.

It's pretty standard on most Nissan/Infiniti models, it's a great way to vent your windows in the summer. I've never have had them go down accidentally, the panic alarm though that's a completely different story lol.

It's good to know that the feature can be turned off.

I have played with this and you can make the windows go down a little or all the way.

My panic goes off usually when I am working on the car usually under the front right next to the horn with the fob in my pocket.

I wonder if you press and hold all three buttons if the car explodes!

Default windows going down while car is parked

I purchased a 2010 370 Z Roadster this past December and twice while the car is sitting on the parking lot at work both windows have fully opened. Someone came in and said did you leave your windows down on purpose. Has anyone else had this problem?

You are pressing (and holding) the unlock button on the fob. Probably when you sit down with the fob in your pocket.
