Longest part was deciding if & where to run the usb cable for easier future updates, etc. I ended up running mine into the cabin behind the foldout document holder, but through the square panel at the lower right behind it...you can actually run the cable at the bottom of that and put the panel cover back on it, allowing the cable to sit under the foldout document holder. Very nice to have one touch operation, back out while the top is operating, and use the remote for operating it. Only thing I've noticed so far is that the chirp settings don't seem to do much, as I have mine set to off but the factory chirps still sound with locks/unlocks.
This is a bit late, but I figured out the chirp setting. Even though I had the beep/chirp turned off on the module (Function 6 and 7), my car still honked the horn each time I pressed the lock button. So it would honk three times to put the top up, which is obnoxious. Now when I hit the lock button three times, it chirps only on the first press, and does nothing for the second and third press, which is what I wanted. No horn, ever. To do this, before connecting your computer to the car, turn off the honk/chirp on the car (hold the lock and unlock buttons at the same time on the key fob/remote until the car flashes). Then plug the computer in and adjust Function 6 and 7. I have 6 (Chirp sound on lock/unlock) set to #2 (beep lock and unlock) and 7 (chirp duration) set to 1 (short).

Does this mod, allow the TV/Video while driving?

There sight says it does for some cars, but does it for our Factory Nav?

you need the handbrake bypass relay for that, but I am not sure does it work for OEM system.

Default Still going

Just a bump for this mod. Stefan at mods4cars.com is still supporting & updating firmware for this mod, adding new functions. This mod is the best thing I've added to my ZR since purchase. New update 2.0 is currently in final beta testing & to be published on website soon, according to Stefan. Can't beat his ongoing development & support! If you don't have one, get one!

Default Another new function

OK, so from the thread above you all the know the basic functions of the SmartTOP. And you also know that owner Stefan keeps working on adding features. I can now report that he's added functionality so that the speed-sensitive volume works (on Bose systems) even with the top down. Add this to allowing voice commands to work while the top down (another recent add) as well as all the other stuff you already know about, and this is really an indispensable addition for your roadster!
