Well, my friend is a long time 350z coupe owner who just recently switched to the roadster and according to him the roadster is a pooter magnet.

The Roadster is blasphemy and an insult to the Z badge! Sorry but I do not feel they should have ever released any Z in full convertable. The old T tops was one thing, but IMO convertable on the 350 or 370 is an insult to a beautiful car! If you want a convertable buy a Miata or Z4!

I'm asking myself this exact same question...I like both but for very different reasons. Once I've figured this out for myself I"ll let you know!

1. I like the Nismo and especially the additional power and suspension tweaks...I don't like the lack of a Nav system/bluetooth/XM (at least I'm not expecting them on the Nismo)...it's also just a touch too "boy racer" for my tasts.

However, I'm still seriously considering one.

2. I love a drop-top...nothing quite like moving down the road with the top down on a beautiful day and I love the additional ammenties on the roadster. I don't like the fact that Nissan seems to believe that their roadsters shoudlnt' have a rear deck spoiler so I'd likely add one.

I wish the roadster had at least the extra ponies of the Nismo even if not the tighter suspension if only to compensate for the additional weight.

It's a delema to be sure!

Nismo looks too ricey to me. It doesn't have all the options that I look for in a car. I'm not a street racer or take my car to the track so the touring/nav sport would be perfect for me. As for Roadster, it looks nice as long as you keep the top down. And what's up with that stupid antenae sticking out from the back?

Just my opinion. Still like to see all different kinds of Zs on the road. Just not for me.

Given a choice between the two, I'd go with the Nismo for sure!

IMO, the only convertible even worth looking at is a Z4.

The 370Z roadster looks terrible.

Didnt do any research but if it was a hard top, i would get the convert becuase theoritcly any 370z could be made as fast as a nismo.

But since i hate cloth tops i would go nismo all the way.

and remember i said theoritcly any 370z could be as fast. key word theory.

If Nissan wakes up and adds an oil cooler to the Nismo it might be worth while. Otherwise you'll be passed by the new Hyundai as you pull into the pits with hot oil/limp mode.

I gotta say the Nismo but then again I would rather walk on salt covered glass shards than ride in any type of vert.
