Fairly new here, so I apologize if this has been answered before, but I probably need some hand holding.
A few months ago, I located a 370Z roadster in a spec that I have been waiting for for some years to come up on the used market. I had driven that car in 2010, but it wasn't available for purchase then (it was a manufacturer demo car), but my wife an I said that we would buy one, if we ever saw it. So it is a 2010 black cherry / touring - beautiful car, but it does nave literally hundreds of tiny paint chips to the degree where the paint is deteriorated enough to consider repainting it back to factory quality standards. I've looked into this issue and I am past the sticker shock. Wanted to see if there is someone who has had a similar decision to make, and if this is something advisable to do. And if so, what kind of place is qualified to take on something like this (a general well-rated body shop?) and what is an acceptable cost - my estimates for a full repaint (not sure if they considered the pearl paint) range from $4K to about $15K. Any advice and thoughts? |
