Do not show a pic of a project until it is
in finished form.
I've found that many people just do not have the
sense of vision of what the it takes to complete a project.
Showing an incomplete will turn them off.
Another thread(hood vents)shares a similar plight.
Show the vents installed on a hood on a actual Z.

Looking forward to see the finished product.
Thank you...

I am still here just emailed manufacturer for an update.

I now have a new issue with my soft Top that will not seal completely at the rear. I have about a 1/4 inch gap that you can see into the car UGH!

Can anyone offer any tips to make it close properly?

I cannot wait for this hard top to be complete and I will rip this entire soft top out of the car!

Let me know if you can help?

I'd think that a quick fix (but not permanent)would be to install a rubber
gasket strip to close the gap.

For that gap, if I'm not mistaken I think that's what the adjustment nuts on each side of the 5th bow are for, is setting the clearance to rest on the lid. Might be worth a try.

It was definitely the rear latch not aligned in the slot. It is now.

Still waiting... The last update was the "shell" was molded and complete (beautiful piece) but still needed the rear window added, interior finish and possibly the latch system.

I sent an email a week ago asking for updates and I usually get a response as soon as they get to the next stage. Please note they are also developing other tops along with our 370z roadsters.

I will update as soon as I hear

I'd be interested in this but not because my soft top is broken. Mine actually just got replaced under warranty (and I don't even know why...lol Car didn't even have 10K on the clock and they were like, "we're going to replace it".) so it should be fine for the foreseeable future. I'd be interested in taking out a hundred-ish pounds (or more?) of soft top, controllers, wires, etc but still being able to lose the roof if I wanted to!

Lets see which project we get to see first, this hard top, the hood vents or the new Z35...

blueranger,

The factory service manual for 2016 models (yours may be a different page but the same exact procedure) shows the adjustment to make to close the 5th bow to the storage lid: RF 174 (roof page 174).

There is a lock nut to loosen on each side, and then another nut to turn to get the proper clearance, and then lock down the lock nut.

It should be simple and easy, but take your time and do small adjustments to ensure you don't do any damage. Good Luck!

You and I think exactly the same!

I am due to check in with the manufacturer to see if they have any updates. I have been tied up drag racing in Denver, Phoenix and locally that I was out of the forums.

Suzook... Thanks for your fast response to my message. I could not remember the forum member that loaned the roadster for this development. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Get ready for some "Sneak Peek" pictures of this mythical unicorn!
