$900 every six months for my wife and I on the subaru and the mustang.

300/300/100+ a 1MM umbrella, ~20 points between us, both 23

With the z, we were paying about 1450 for the same setup.

AllForTheCash 10-06-2011 05:13 PM

$960 for the Z for the year. Full coverage :tup:

emx620 10-06-2011 05:22 PM

$200/month -- includes full coverage with $500 deductibles on my '10 370Z and my 2006 Honda Accord, for me plus my girlfriend.

I looked at my policy breakdown, and it looks like without the Accord, my 370Z would be $117/month for me and the girlfriend with $500/$250 deductibles.

LT419 10-06-2011 06:25 PM

$630 per six months for me. That's just the Z, though.

I haven't yet added my Jetta to the account my Z is on, but when I do (and it'll just be liability) it should be about $870 per six months.

I'm 22 and I pay less for my Z than my mom does for her 2006 Saab. :icon14:

fncrow 10-06-2011 06:33 PM

i was paying 205/month in Miami with progressive for whatever standard coverage you need when you still have a loan on the car. But i also have a license suspension for reckless driving on my record.

I looked the other day though and they dropped it down to 165/month but i also just paid off my car so i plan on dumping a lot of stuff to make it even less.

usmc_nick 10-06-2011 06:41 PM

too much :icon18: i hate jersey

USAA. Some people like them, some don't. Former roommate is USMC and he dumped them like a fat date after they tried to screw him over. He is saving nearly $100/mo with Geico.

Insurance depends heavily on where you live, too. A lot of stupid people are on the road in my state, so wrecks are often more severe and frequent. Hence I live in the 3rd highest state to insure a car in per my agent. 1st per one website.

USAA is more than an insurance company. It has banking, life insurance, car buying services, and many other things.

Like someone said some people like them some other don't.

Yes that is very true and did you know most accidents occur within five miles of where you live? When I heard that I got so scared, I moved..

What Do You Pay For Insurance?

I was reading another thread and someone posted a comment about living in a state where insurance is cheap, and I saw their definition of cheap. It was much more than I pay. So, I was just wondering, what does everyone pay around the globe?

Of course if you could make it a bit detailed that would be helpful so we can compare. Here's me.....

Country = U.S.
State = Ohio
Age = Mid 40's
Discounts = Accident Free, 4 Cars & House
Deductable = $250
6 Month Full Coverage Insurance Rate = $309 ($618 per year)

Thanks for participating.

Cheers --- Bonzo :tup:

TreeSemdyZee 02-09-2012 06:48 PM

Crap. The first few guy's rates had me depressed until I saw some of the other rates.

$798 per 6 months.

$798 is my paid in full for 6 months. Clean driving record for at least 3 years and with multi-car discount. Including my 2001 Hyundia beater, its $1047 for 6 months with the same coverage, but no comp/collision on the Hyundia. Again, with paid in full discount. Otherwise its its an extra $94.00.

Beats insuring just my old Evo for $1468 every 6 months with paid in full discount.

(sorry I forgot these details before)

TheGreatOne 02-09-2012 07:04 PM

Well its going to be expensive, no doubt about that..... As far as a ball park figure... it would be easier if you call around and get quotes from different insurance agencies. Location, age, is all going to play a factor and each agency will quote you differently. If I were to guess I would say atleast 150-200/ month.

kenchan 02-09-2012 09:35 PM

What insurance company are you with?

In OK USAA is more expensive for me so I went to State Farm. They are much cheaper than USAA in this state.

gsxr750 02-10-2012 02:39 AM

We pay $1180 every 6 months for 3 cars with full coverage , $0 glass, and $250 deductable and extended bumper to bumper waranties on 2 of the cars. O tickets or accidents, prefered plan, 2 drivers. Our plans cover us for about 4 times the limits of standard policies, We live in big city with a lot of bad drivers. When I used to live in a small country area of NYS, my total payments were only about 1/2 of what I pay now.

Most rates are based on where you live and your driving record and age.

Best rates for auto seem to be Allstate, Geico for cars and Progressive for motorcycles. Never cared for the prices the other big companies give, they never even came close to the companies listed above.

lachap55 02-10-2012 07:09 AM

gsxr750 02-10-2012 10:01 AM

Best service and price allstate, most companies will drop you like a rock if you get a couple claims with in a few years though. Geico best for price. Some companies can be hard to collect from on theft claims though or large personal or physical damage though. My brother had a boat motor stolen off a boat , while at a resturant for breakfast and they denyed the claim. Only resort then is to have a lawyer sue your own insurance company to collect, when they deny a claim.

With most insurance companies their policy is not to pay claims, its really to deny them or get out of paying them when ever a claim is submited.

BoobyBoost17 02-10-2012 10:10 AM

with one blowing a redlight ticket tho should a insurance policy charge me 400+ a month? lol

i own a 2005 srt4 right now, how bad could the differnece be?!? lol
