They only thing they gave me was the shipping number after my constant nagging. I can't figure out the reason why they would keep the VIN number a secret though. Perhaps they don't want the car to be "locked" into selling it to me and thus maintaining flexibility and the possibility of selling my car to a higher bidder who wants it right away.
