Nice! How far away did they find it? Also are they going to drive to the dealer(aka rip it up on the way to your dealer) or flatbed it? Trust me they rip the cars up when transporting them. I've seen it first hand, and hear of it all the time.

they are flat bedding it. which that part i do not know the cost of, the manager (who is the one i talked to yesterday) said the dealer is trying to get the transportation ready this weekend and will let me know on monday. i keep hearing a pretty standard 500 bucks from alotta people, but im not getting my hopes up bc im sure it goes up as the miles go up. hopefully it doesnt hurt my pocket too bad. but at this point its a small price to pay looking at the bigger picture. it is coming from massachusetts to ohio

Fly to Mass. for about $300, drive it home, and it will be properly broken in when you arrive at your front door.

Well just read this great thread with soda and popcorn. I tend not to read 10 pages plus on the first reading.....but the OP and the community helping with advise had me on the edge of the seat. I can 't believe I read the whole thing.

Congrats on the car you really wanted from the start, funny how the carrot can be tempting when waived a certain way.

My two cents.......take ya back to March 2009. Purchased 2 370Z's in one day because I could not decide on one color - red or pg.....j/k. The bro and myself bought ours the same day. Ok the red sport touring was not be found in our region. Could wait for a container docking from across the pond at port of Los Angeles or wait for one that was located in Chicago. Which was out of our region. Took the Chicago car but was snagged first from Portland Oregon dealer. Paid the extra 1k because dealer would not take a trade.....all ok because Calif sales tax was going up in April and would pay the same if we took the car from L.A. because it would not get here in time. So had transported by truck for 1k which was a wash. Got what we wanted.

Sometimes you have to pay to get what you really want. Congrats Sara!!

hey everyone~ sorry ive been away over the weekend and didnt reply. that is so awesome you read the whole thread! lol thanks for letting me know how much transport could potentially cost...thats gonna suck but it is worth it i spose some of you were asking about the price and its a little complicated but ill let you know. basically last month when i met the dealer for the first time he took 500 off then ANOTHER 500 because he was matching a competing dealer also trying to sell me the car. well when he called friday telling me the news and the price he took the first 500 off but i didnt realize until long after we hung up that he mentioned nothing about the other 500 we agreed upon (i guess it slipped my mind since i was so excited). so today they are supposed to call me with the price of transport and i will bring up the 500. he seems very honest and sticks to his word so i assume he will remember and agree to the additional 500. if for whatever reason he wont, the car will be right over 40K. if he takes if off, it will be just under 40K. like i said ill let yall know!

im so nervous about the transportation....i hope it comes in absolutely perfect condition...i dont wanna have to make the choice to walk away if something is wrong that they wont fix. but i will cross that bridge when i get to it, for now, only positive thoughts...

Nice..... If for whatever reason there is some dings like on the front bumper, then they will fix it for you. If the dealer knows what is best it will happen. FYI......if you see a front license plate bracket on the front bumper please take it off to inspect to make sure that it did not cause any dings. I believe it is 40k before tax.

Damn 945$. I would've drove that myself. Couple full tanks and still have left over for a CAI.

im definitely not saying that $945 doesnt suck. because it does...but honestly its kinda a convenience thing...first of all i forgot to ask exactly where it is coming from but lets just say its coming from boston. thats a plane ticket there and 900 miles back (15+ hours). i would be taking my dad along and neither of us are willing to miss any work so if anything got delayed/held up whatsoever it might not all get done in one weekend. the dealer said he is willing to take the 945 out of my down or factor it into the 60 months, which is about 15 bucks more a month. so in the big picture i dont really care but yeah thats definitely a lot

Do what you have to do. As I stated earlier in this thread that I paid an even $1k for my car to be shipped. In the end it was well worth it & it is only money. Remember money will always come & go.
