Just about 8 months earlier, about the best you could do was invoice, or little under MSRP depending on where or how you shopped.

At the same time, the 370 I tested was not in the color/options I would be interested in so then the same sales manager was doing everything in his power to unload the 2008 NISMO 350 he still has sitting there on me. Should have offered 25k and see what the response would be. Just because a car it limited doesn't make it in demand.
i agree 100% i talked to the manager of the nissan where i live abput the nismo 370z he gave me bs about so many people wanted it. i am like the new just got out two days ago. also his dealership was empty i was the only customer there. he lower the price of the 370z sports from 35 k to 31k and im like no i want the damn nismo lol i walked out. and the guy started calling me how we can work something out. with this economy few people are interested in to buy a 30+ k car.

Well a 370z with touring and sports packages is 38K and 40K with NAV. IMO, the nismo has to cost more than this, so at least 40-42K.

I think the dealers would be stupid to try and mark up the Nismo.... What are they gonna say? That its in demand and limited? Every nissan dealer around here has at least 1-2 08 nismos still sitting on the lot at big discounts! That kinda kills their arguement!

Whether you like the Nismo or not, or whether it's in demand, it will be the top of the line model I believe (well as far as coupes are concerned).

With that said, it should be priced between a coupe with touring and sports package, and a roadster equipped with touring/sports. I don't see how they can add everything on the car and sell it at the same price as a regular coupe.

^The top of the line model is a Touring 370Z with sports pack/nav. It retails for a bit over 40k.

The Nismo is like a "track ready" version of the 370Z. It does not have the amenities of the touring car much less a navigation system, so why would it be priced higher than one that does?

It is basically a base 370 + sports package(which goes for 33k) with a bodykit, rims and a few other Nismo touches here and there. I highly doubt it will be priced 9k more than base+sport. It will more than likely follow the trend of the previous Nismo and be placed in the 37k-39k bracket. A fully loaded 350Z was also around the 40k mark.

If you look at the 350Z, the Nismo version cost more than the grand touring version. The grand touring version was basically a track model with all the luxuries.

The nismo lacks some of the amenities of the touring package, but adds a bodykit. The bumpers alone will cost close to $1K each and the spoiler even more. It then adds the wheels, exhaust, suspension and interior bits.....

I would love to be proven wrong and see the Nismo priced at 38K, but I just don't see how they can price it under $40K.

yea the thing is the nismo has no leather seats..no bose system, no electric seats, nor navigation. it would be insane they price it over 40 k. nobody would buy it. very few would. which means a lot of losses for nissan. i would bet they dont want that from happening.

Hey everyone, just got back from test driving a 370z fully loaded and showed a lot of interest in the nismo. I do not own a Z yet, but am looking to make the switch from an S2000.

Anyways, I went to a dealer in PA, which is the northeast regions biggest, and highest volume dealership. Just got their 10th GTR in yesterday. Anyways, the owner came to talk to me and was trying to get me to order a NISMO 370z, told me it would be available in 5 colors, pearl white, red, silver, black, and forget the other color. They do not know the price, but he told me he expects it to be $5,000 over and above a fully loaded 370z. So that takes it to around $45,000 or so, probably more after mark up. The GTR was marked up to $99,000 so I am sure they will jack the nismo 370z up as well.

Yea that is what I tried to tell the sale women. I need to see some performance comparisons first. If the Nismo can handily out perform the standard Z then I could justify the price. And when I say out perform, I am talking about slalom, skip-pad, and an actual head to head lap battle. I do not expect it to be any faster in a straight line. I would not pay $45,000 just for looks and a marginally better handling car.

Will it be worth the extra money, that's up to you, but if you try to add everything on after the fact, it will cost a good deal more than $45K. Honestly you get a lot for your money, even in the low 40K range.

But that's MSRP, no one pays msrp right.
