Is this a deal?

370z coupe, manual, tour, nav, sport at invoice ($37,457....this includes destination)......is this a good deal? + TTL Besides TTL, should there be any other charges? Thanks.

If you haven't even started negotiating, getting an offer at invoice is a great place to start. Don't expect them to come down much farther, though.

No that is not a good deal. $36500 I think is a realistic goal. I had an offer for a new 40th for $35000. So add invoice for the nav and that is your price point IMO.

If that's the case, sales MAY just be falling thru the floor!

A good deal? No

It's more of a middle of the line deal according to true car. 370z's are selling very poorly with only around 780 units total sold in September. They will want to move as many of their 2010's off the lot as possible before the 2011 model year arrives.

Offer them 36000 and be firm on it. Leave if they won't give it to you, you'll probably get some pleading phone calls to come back in a few days. Even $5000 off of MSRP should be achievable and it will be easier the closer it is to the end of the year.

I just checked overstock.com and a dealer in my area is offering a 2010 auto, touring, sport (no nav) which is within a few hundred dollars of your choice of manual, touring, sport, nav for 36637 including destination. Keep in mind that this is before any negotiations.

Does it make a difference if the dealer doesn't have it on the lot and has to get it from a dealer thats 200 miles away?

No. Absolutely not. Because you can also check Nissan's inventory online to see what dealership has the model and work a better deal with them, then drive the 200 miles yourself. Don't let the salesman bully you by suggesting that transferring the car means anything. I had a guy try that crap with me.

Cool thanks. I am thinking about offering 36K including destination. I really want the back up cam and if I have to wait about a month, I wouldn't mind doing that for the 2011. Everywhere I have read, it says that 2011 370z is coming out October. Historically only pricing has come out in October/November and the car itself is on dealer lots in Feb/March. Right? Unless its different this year???

I don't know when the 2011's will hit. But remember that time is on your side. If you wait until the middle to end of this month, you can see if 2011's hit the lots, as well as make the salesman sweat a little bit more, as they have a number to hit for October.

If you really want the backup cam, it may be worth waiting for the new model. But also remember that as the end of year approaches, there will never be a better time to get a steal on a 2010. If it stays on their lots past a certain point, they have to pay taxes on it for another year. Now is the exact right time to be shopping. Best of luck.
