Default Beware - Kline Nissan Minnesota

I had been exchanging emails with the Kline Nissan internet sales manager (initials A.B.) who led me to believe that he would sell a 370Z for invoice + $xxx. Then when narrowed down to one particular car that they had coming in I get a direct response from him say "we are no longer discounting the 370Z". Bad form - quoting a price via email and then backing away from it. We had no contract, only email exchanges up to that point, so Kline has absolutely no obligation. I just would not do business with a dealership who does this.

If that is what you are quoted that is what you pay or less. If they have a problem with that, Raise a stink.

I suppose I could, but it becomes a matter of principle - who wants to deal with a dealer that pulls crap like that?

I would deal with them if they decide to honor the price they quoted you. The principle is that both parties are trying to get the best deal possible. They want to sell it for more, you want to buy it for less. It won't hurt if you go in with that price and at least see if they'll honor it.
