Default what would be an ideal OTD price for 17 Nismo?

I am currently doing a lemon law process with Chevrolet.
Looking to purchase a new vehicle anytime soon.
I've had a 13 base 370Z M6 previously.
I am now seriously considering to buy either a Nismo or an STI.
both 2017. brand new. financing.

What is an ideal OTD price for the Nismo right now?
or before tax, tag, title fees? tax here is 6% btw.
Say the Nismo is 43k. Would 37k before tax and all that be reasonable?
or can I go lower? is it too low?

help me please! thank you!

You can go much lower.

Use cars.com and see what dealers are advertising across the states and you can have a local dealer match it or go lower.

Base new 370z and Nismo are discounted 24% right off the bat advertised. Most cases you can go lower.

You are welcome. Beer on you if we ever meet

So you are saying I can get most of Z at most 24% off of MSRP???
most of my local dealers posted up at around 10~17% off
I guess I can negotiate further at least up to 24%??

There is no set answer. Car prices can depend where you are geographically The So Ca market may be different than Miami FL. A lot depends of dealer mark ups and competition.

With that said, on-line car pricing resources are pretty legitimate. Autotrader, Edmunds, Kelley Blue Book, TrueCar, AutoValue can all provide you with ball park figures to start your negotiations. What you actually pay, can depend on a lot of things including the demand for the model, the time of the month, how long the car has been on the lot, etc. etc.

I found 2 16 Nismo-Techs for 37.5 on a 47K MSRP but no way are you getting a 17 Nismo-Tech for 24% off...47K at 24% off is ~ 11.2K off so your telling me you can get a 47K 17 Nismo-Tech for 35.8K?????

PS: I called on the White 16 Nismo at 37.5 and was told that is as low as they will go. I asked how long they had it and they told me 404 days,lol....

Is 37.5 OTD?? I'm in the market right now too, and the rep won't budge from 40k excluding TTL. I told him I won't go over 38k OTD and the car has been on the lot for over a year.

@mattleegee & OP,

Depends on what you are looking for: tech, non-tech, MT, AT..pretty much the only options. Please specify.

On average, with one of the above configurations, let's say the nismo will run ~45k. 24% off would be ~34,200...there's no way in hell that's happening lol

We all know these cars will never be sold for MSRP and the salesmen who try are just idiots. The finance aspect is a different story, but I don't think anyone should pay more than 40k OTD depending on your configuration.

I'm still working on getting deals, but I'm also trying to hold out until end of year for two reasons: Z35 update as well as end of year pricing.

For those that are looking at the Nismo version, are you guys looking to mod it? Reason why I ask is if so, wouldn't it be MUCH cheaper to go ahead and buy a sport or touring/sport new and then mod it to what you want it to be? In particular if you are switching out the sways, the exhaust and headers - add a tune and I would 'imagine' you would be faster than a Nismo at that point.

Only reason why I'm asking is that Nismo used to be a rare car but now its just a trim level since you are seeing different 'Nismos' on other cars such as the Juke. Just my .02 but good luck to everyone who is looking. By the way, not budging from $40k on a car that is going to be 2 years old in 6mo is just crazy to me. It's 'new' but NOT 'new'.

Obviously I can't speak for others, but the exact reason why I'm looking at purchasing the nismo is because I love the way it looks, mainly the body kit, and the seats are bad a$$. I'm not looking at modding the vehicle and the nismo comes with everything I want. I thought about buying a sport, but then getting a body kit, painting it to match, getting a new set of wheels and finding sport bucket seats while losing air bags isn't worth it to me. I agree with you though, for those who want to mod I think the nismo isn't a good choice, but there are folks with money who want to say they have a nismo lol
About your comment regarding not budging from 40k..are you referring to the dealers? If so, yeah it's ridiculous.

I had a 2010 40th Anniversary Z that I had modded for the track. At a minimum it required an oil cooler, Stiffer sway bars and coilovers. I do all the work myself and parts alone for all that were around $2,500. I haven't tracked my newly picked up 2017 Nismo yet, but initial impressions is that I will not have to do any of that.

I am a 95% daily driver and 5% Track Day driver (trying to change that ratio).

Also, I found my 2017 NISMO (non-TECH) at Carmax with 2,711 miles on it (I know, Carmax). I paid $38,998 and it is practically brand new. My local dealer would have to ship one in and could not consider anything below $40K for a new one.
