Confirmed with Seb that it can only be installed on cars with synchro-rev. It's the same system/sensor in the tranny.

Rev match was definitely worth it for me. I still remember the look on my nephews face when I took him for a spin and he was amazed at how good I was at matching revs on downshifts.............LOL.

Opinions/ advice/ truth?

Your Nissan sales reps is the most stupid sales person in the entire Nissan world. For your information Nissan was the innovator of the synchro rev match in 2009. After 3-4 years Porsche decided to have it on their 911's then followed Corvette C7 manual. Btw most super cars have rev match now a days.

Now who said its just for racing? Funniest joke ever.

Is rev match worth it? No. But the wheels, brakes and VLSD certainly are, get the sport package.

So I had a G coupe Sport and just got my sport Z last week, is the Diff in the two cars the same? Also I kept my G diff as it has 4.08s... if I swap my diffs I'll lose my rev-match?

I rarely use my synchro rev match. It really messes with my mind.

But this coming from a guy who's been rev matching his manual cars for years on end now. It's a bit tricky at first, but keep trying and eventually rev matching on your own becomes second nature.

I physically have to think about not rev matching these days, if I use the SRM function. 95% of my rev matches are as clean as the car does itself, so it is of little use to me.

Honestly, doing manual rev matching is half the reason I drive standard. I absolutely love it.

Y'all need to learn how to rev match by yourself!! Trust me, once you start nailing it, you'll love your car 100 times more!!

It's nice the car can do it, but the satisfying feeling you get when you do it yourself cannot be matched by anything else.

Yes, it takes practice. But it's not as hard as you think. The beauty of it is that the skill is transferable to any other manual car you may drive. I recently had the displeasure of driving a manual Dacia Duster SUV in Germany. There was nothing enjoyable about that thing, but being able to rev match downshift put a smile on my face.

Not many other cars have synchro rev matching. But if you learn to do it in one car, you'll forever be able to do it in every manual car. It's a skill you'll always appreciate!!!

Been doing it since I started driving... but having the feature is a plus. It's definitely not needed, but that isn't the selling point of the sport package. Keyword being package. I'm sure everyone here knows or has learned to rev match.

What made me consider the sport over the base is the value you get for the price. The upgraded 18" rays wheels, the big sports brakes (which is the same brakes as the nismo Z), the limited slip differential, the Bose 6 speaker sound system, and the hatch spoiler.
I test drove and tried the synchro rev match and to be honest I actually like the feature and find it quite useful for my liking.

Enjoy!

I doubt that. I know a number of people who drive or used to drive standard that have no idea what it even is. After explaining it to them all I get is a "oh, yeah, I don't know how to do that"
