Rev-match worth it

I am in the process of purchasing a new 370z. I was speaking to a sales rep during my most recent test drive and was trying to tell me that the rev matching is only good for racing.

I was set on getting a coupe sport for the nicer wheels, rev matching, and the Bose. But if the rev matching is only useful for racing then maybe not worth the extra $$.

Opinions/ advice/ truth?

Wheels and brakes alone are worth the premium

This, plus the diff. Buy the sports package. It's more expensive to try and do it later.

:iagree: the Rev-match is the lesser of the upgrades to the sport. I personally would rather be able to rev-match the engine myself.

Those sport wheels alone I've seen go slightly used on this forum for $700-$1000

It is a nice extra bonus of the sport package. Some people don't use it at all but I personally like it and always have it on. The other items on the sport package make it worth it, to me.

You know I forgot about the diff and the breaks. Thanks for the insight.

Which dealership was it - Falkner or Brenner? BTW - welcome to the forum... :hello:

The wheels alone are nearly the value of the sport package. The best part of the package in my opinion are the breaks, as they grab hard. As for the rev match, it's ok, might help save your drivetrain if youre not great at down shifting smoothly.

Rev match is worth it.

sport #1 in my book

if you never had a Z with rev matching you need to get it just for the experience, i had one for 3 years and decided that its not for me and bought a new Z without

Its so worth it. My first 370z was base (See Signature Below). My second 370z that I have now is so much better. The diff is worth it. The brakes are outstanding, the wheels are better looking, wider and bigger, and the RevMatch is amazing (Love the sound it makes when it downshifts).

Get the Sport for sure, you wont regret it.

The rev matching is fun. Disable it when you don't want it, enable it when you do. Personally, I enjoy the effortless downshifting when overtaking on the freeway.

If you've got a good aftermarket exhaust, the second gear downshift when coming to a red light / stop sign sounds like a gunshot.

:iagree: with all!!!

rev match, wheels, brakes, diff, front chin and rear spoiler are all worth it!
