There are too many varibles, you need to focus on the price before sales tax, but including dealer fees. There are dealers that will sell you a base + sport for 29,999, but they have a 700 dealer fee and a 299 title fee. Every market is different, inovices are on the internet for a reason, strike a deal at or close to inovice and you have done well. But watch out for fees and add-ons!

Same thing happened to me with my ex wife. Very little cost going into the deal, but then I added some really nice headlights to the front at $7k, gym maintenance at $120 a month, had the handles shaved to improve a sleek line for 3k, saved a few dollars by not purchasing a bra but ended up costing me more due to excessive handling. Eventually it was cheaper to dump her and lease a newer smaller model on a month to month basis. Plus changing the oil is a lot more fun on these tight racing models.

If you want sport don't settle for just a base because it's proving difficult to find what you are looking for. You will regret your decision for settling. Also, just because the 2010's are coming doesn't mean you will get a better deal on the 09's. The 09's since launch have been going for invoice. With the economy the way it is I see the 2010's also going for invoice. If you can't find what you want right now just be patient until you can find it, either as an 09 or 2010. I almost settled because I couldn't find the combo I wanted but persisted and eventually got what I wanted. I couldn't be happier and know that had I settled I wouldn't be as happy as I am today.

It's best to consider what your purchasing price is...and always ask whether the dealership has any dealer fee, etc, etc...I remember years ago in Texas, many dealerships did a coupon book that every customer had to purchase...dealerships were charging anywhere from $200-$700 for those booklet, and unless you put a magnifying glass to your contract, you wouldn't have seen it...that practice has been long gone in the state of Texas, but they still have dealer fees...so look out for those, and ask up front... Like Fusz said, also look out for dealer add-ons...you may see a car that costs $30,000 + $795 (dealer add-ons: tint, pintstripes, window etching...etc...) and that may make you think the total price of the vehicle is $30,795, when in fact it costed the dealership $100-$150 to do all of that, and the rest is profit...so when you get a discount off of the price, you think you're getting a fatter discount than the next guy, when in fact, the price was inflated to start with...

I'm honestly not a big fan of the Rays wheels plus they only are being sold for like $1k at best
I'd rather upgrade to some Volk's and not spend an extra 3k My biggest thing is the Syncho Rev but I figure I've lived with out ever since I've driven a stick, I can live w/o it now |

The extra $3K for the sport package is cheap. Imagine buying and installing all those parts separately aftermarket, you'll pay a lot more. There's no aftermarket synchro-rev, but it wouldn't surprise me if they started doing it in the near future. |

yes that is a great price, and most likely do-able these days, auto is a coupe hundred more than the manual , keep that in mind..
and imo syncro rev match is cool and prob sounds awesome, but its really not essential.. to me the biggest bummer of the base model is no LSD ... but a nice aftermarket tru lsd for around $1300 would make this car complete for me... the brakes are a close second on what i miss, but the car still stops just fine and i could certainly live without them. Websites have fromt and back kits for around 800 each. So basically you get the rims for free. But after I put my 15mm spacers on the rear, the stance of the car became way more aggressive and the 18s fit the stlying perfect imo.
