New Fairlady Z Video from Nissan Japan 12.01.08

I was lurking around on "Nissan Premium Factory"(formerly known as Infiniti in Japan) website and saw this cool Fairlady Z video. So I uploaded on youtube so that people can watch it. Pretty cool video. Isn't that Nissan Track driver Hiroyoshi Kato?

I'm pretty sure at the end they said to go test drive one now at your local dealership.

The drift in the intro of the video makes the car look very relaxed while drifting; very confidence inspiring!

At the end it states that this is (Nissan's) Test Driver Kato (Hiroyoshi). And state "The New Fairlady Z" In the beginning it's Kato talking. He says that he completely feels what he wants to do, the car does. (Kinda like saying, I can feel the tires as if it were my feet). He goes on to say that even the sound of the car sounds exactly as he's expecting it to sound. He asks himself, 'what do I think about the car?', and says that he feels that this Z continues to progress just as every new Z has progressed since the beginning of its line.

Nothing really special... especially since it's Nissan's own test driver. I'd like to see a video REVIEW (not commercial) from an unbias source. If I see any commercials here, I'll be sure to post it.

No, they didn't. Sorry.
Test drives are not actually given out to every person that walks into a dealership like they do in the states. Test drives are really only given to serious buyers and commonly by appointment only. Sound strange to Americans, doesn't it?

Awesome!!! Now I have an idea what they are talking about. It makes perfect sense with the video.

I think he was joking but man, that kinda sucks that you can't test drive it. Here they have a DEMO car and almost anyone can test drive it. Is it in the dealership already in Japan?

I was joking, but that does sound strange that you can't test out the car before buying.

No, it's not that you CAN'T test drive it. But it's not like the US where anyone can pretty much walk into the dealership, look at a car, and say "I'd like to test drive this car"... even if they are just 'walkers'. In Japan, you CAN test drive it, but they don't allow just anyone to test drive it. They talk to you, see if you seem like you're really interested, and then set an appointment for another day (because most people will not buy the car in one visit) to drive the car. However, in some places, they'll let you take the car for a day. There is a WHOLE lot more trust here compared to the US. I bought a new car from Honda last year. I drove it once, and the second time they let me take it for the day. I just had to bring it back before they closed. But I've had friends and co-workers that have been allowed to take the car home. It's different. Pros and cons on both sides, you know.

I've been meaning to go to the Nissan dealerships and see if they have the 370Z already. I'll check sometime this week... or weekend.
