Haha Fast and Furious wasn't THAT bad. lol. I'll admit they have gone down on my rating scale since the first movie, but I can name a few movies that are worse. lol

I actually paid for it. Not one of my best decisions ever but oh well. lol.

Oh, random thought but would Smokey and the Bandit count as a good car movie?

I think I included the first one in my list, more out of popularity than an actual fan. I like the old school ones before CGI, where they actually had to drive the cars

Haha true that! CGI is great and all but it will never be as cool as actually driving the car.

A lot of people don't know that James Garner took driving lessons so he could actually drive in "Grand Prix", in order to make the flick more authentic. He got so good at it that he actually did some SCCA amatuer racing, and was quoted by the experts as being someone who, had they started at an early age, had the skills to have been a professional racer. Besides "Bullit", the "Seven-Ups" has some great real driving in it as well.

I agree with ^ , Bullit might not be a racing moving although it has one hell of a chase scene.

Wow. I had no idea lol. Thats pretty cool. Makes you wish James had started at a young age so we could see what he really could have done. Thanks for the info!

You're welcome. He also drove a "Z" car in the '70's, and was taught to race by Bob Bondurant.
