I'm looking to get a camera and mount to record some trips... anyone have any comment on the ContourHD Camera and mount (+Car charger) setup?

I just got the contour HD a couple weeks ago. Actually took it out of the box today to start playing with it. It was on sale super cheap, so I think its a recently discontinued item since it was on back order when I got it. Its the contourHD1080p. The software seems really easy to use, but mine only came with a stick on surface mount and goggle mount, so I adapted my gopro case to mount the contour to it since the go pro was a piece of junk that never worked for me.

i found one about 100 bucks cheaper than the goPro... interesting to see if the mount is ok, or if that super-duper mount extension is needed... also if the car charger is needed, or just the battery is ok.

Notes: The audio is very quiet... this is with the roof off, and the radio pretty loud.

also, I got a lot of reflection of the dash when i was in the sunshine patches...

i was a bit off on the alignment for horizontal, but not terrible. (at least i got it right side up )
