it took me sometime to get used to having my left leg hurt while i tried to get in and out of the Z, depending as to how much room I have to open the door I either twist my entire body so both my legs are facing the outside of the door and done deal, the same going in but most of the time put my quads to use to push and lower my hairy arse into place...

I put my left leg out and leverage my left hand on the upper part of the door sill. I noticed I was using my elbow against the bolster of the seat causing wear.

In and out are no issues. I do kinda like most everyone else does. Getting out is the hardest part especially in the garage since I park on the left side and I can't open the door all the way and a wiggle and a grunt or two gets me out. I even put a foam pad on the garage wall so I don't worry about it when it hits and it hits every time.
It is an art but once you figure it out you are good to go. I do still bang my head sometimes.

Rapala do you turn it off, put it in neutral outside of the garage, and just push??

This is what I do too. Seems to work OK. I try to avoid kicking the side skirt/door sill when I get in but sometimes my foot still scrapes.
