I just never had a problem with the clutch, as far as shifting smooth. I think some people might be new to a manual gearbox and for whatever reason they are embarrassed to say so.

It's worth trying, especially given how easy it is to do and the put back if it's not your thing. I would have been fine if I hadn't driven a buddy's G37S with the spring out. After that, mine was coming out.
