I've been doing a lot of research on the Corvette forums as well. While most are minor, 21 recalls in the short life span of this car is a lot. A thinking man would also assume there are other gremlins in this car which has not made it to the recall stage.I was very interested in this car, but the way I want it configured would cost me over $60k out the door (basically the cost of my last two cars). I just can't justify spending that kind of money for a car that I may be driving back and forth to the dealer often. I believe GM will work out most of the kinks in their halo car, but it will take them a couple more years to do so. I know the C7 is a much faster and nicer interior car, but to date my Z has 10k miles on the odometer in 26 months of ownership. Absolutely 0 trips to the dealer. Prior to that, 60k miles and 8+ years of owning a G35 Coupe, only 2 recalls. Brake pads and rotor replaced for free after 15k miles, due to grabby brakes. And greasing of the door locks due to it being sticky. So for $60k+ & 21 recalls, I'll also wait on the C7. |

One good thing about GM though, at least they acknowledge issues and recall them... so far every engine failure thread I've seen, GM has fixed under warranty... even if the engine blew up on the track. Look at all the issues we have, CSC failures, paint defects, oil burning issues, and lets not forget how long it took Nissan to do a recall on the steering locks.

![]() Stingray Corvette TSB/Recalls Again minor/moderate issues but not going to get one until it's all fixed. Again I'm not out to bag the Vette, I still want one since I'm still itching for another drive since Road America.

I find it hilarious that 370z owners who are turboed think their car is somehow better because it can keep up with a stock c7 or barely pass one. The corvette is another league of performance. Hell even a new 5.0 mustang is a better platform for performance. I've driven the fast intentions twin turbo kit by the way and from my opinion and a few others the 350z/g35 is a better turbo option for putting power down properly.

Remember, most people are obsessed with straight line speed. So if they slap a turbo on their car, and then do some highway pulls and beat up on another car, they think its the greatest thing ever.

Yes it is when a V6 outperforms the king V8. Priceless to see that expression on their face when that happens.

Yeah, I guess STI and Evo owners feel the same way when their 4 bangers beat up on our Z's.

and yes the mustang has better performance for the buck but there are sports car buyers out there that actually want a quality built car and not a POS ford.

I'll go with "wide set vagina" for sure. The C7 is a 12.4 sec car if not faster depending on tranny, options, etc. With your mods you are at 12.8 at best. Even if he got a bad launch he should still pull easily. Love our Z's but it takes no less than FI to give a C7 a run |

So lets not focus on the engines capabilities. It's what the driver did with all that power. That's what counts.
