The 370Z sprints to 60 mph in a scant 5.1 seconds, which bests the old car's mark by almost a half second, and to the quarter mile in 13.7. We performed our tests at an elevation of 1500 ft., so don't be surprised if the car runs a 5.0 or better when we get our hands on one here near sea level."
i was joking lol.

Here's another that came out a week or so ago. It's from drivers-republic.com, a very nice magazine style site from the UK. This article compares a new Z with a 2006 Cayman S (about the same price range) and a new Cayman S.

Thanks for the time spent gathering all of this up. I'm here doing my home work and it was a lot of help. ***Leaning further into the 370***

The new May 2009 Motor Trend reviews the Genesis 3.8 Coupe extensively and has a break-down of comparisons between the Genesis and the Mustang GT as well as the 370Z. Attached is a scan from the 370Z comparison...they gave the Z an incredible review in the process. They also posted some of the best skidpad numbers I've ever seen for the 370Z. 1.01g! That's on par with the GT-R.

I love the last line "...so if its a toy you're after you'd probably be better off with a Mustang"

Thers no way this car is 5.5. To 60
When I test drove. I did the stopwatch on a car with only 122 mi on it.
It was the auto. 92f outside about 75% humidity in arlington texas.
Which is about 900 feet above sea level.
We got 5.0 on the first try n 4.6 on the second. Which were about
20 minutes apart n the car was riding at about 190 or 200 degrees on the 2nd run.
The 1st one the car was probably about 30 degrees cooler I think? I had tested the 1st around the corner from the dealership. The second. Going back from a red light on a vacant service road

I was a bit taken back when the most recent automobile magazine issue
had the 370z at 5.5 sec. with a 14.1 1/4 mile!!! While other magazines
had the 370z at 4.6 with a 13.3 1/4 mile!!! There have been getting wild
differences with the Nismo 370z too..... But the averages says the 370z is
a capable sub 5 sec car, with a mid to low 13 1/4 mile sprint.....
