Hmm...in that case, I see no reason it would have hit the rev-limiter in 2nd. Unless -- were you power-shifting? Like did you lift off the throttle in between 1st and 2nd? If you didn't lift in between, then maybe in that split second between gears it ran up to redline and triggered the rev-limiter. That's all I can think of. You already said you had TC off, so that shouldn't kicked in. (I'm just trying to be constructive.
