We already got about 6" of snow... it sucks.
|
Drove the Z to work today, late start. Had to cook a lasagna for work.
Nice open roads but had to be somewhat gentle since I didn't want that lasagna to flipping around in the back. The lasagna is world famous. There are four people in Brazil, two in South Africa, and one in the Ukraine that know this lasagna. It is epic even without bacon. Does have sausage though. |

Pissed at myself for ruining my 60K mile photo the other day. Oh well...
I let the dog ride shotgun after her grooming. She usually rides in the hatch. |

just got back form my inspection + oil change... was expecting more but was pleasantly surprised!
motul 5w40 blablablabla apparently cabin filter needs changing (i'll probably clean it myself or something), tires have 4mm and 3mm front/rear, pads are 60/40 front/rear, and something about topping up the coolant. was about to drive off the tank then put some stabil drive 50k or so and add in another few to top it off but then it started snowing... guess I get to push my hibernation 1 more day! after the oil change I noticed the engine has become a lot more 'responsive' and the rpm's drop a lot faster when shifting.. (or could be my imagination who knows) |

Took pictures.
Discovered that I ran through some paint last week. Luckily it was raining that day. Taking it to the airport and parking in the expensive garage with the other Z and the Cayman that's always in section three thousand. (Row 3K) |

Looking to purchase springs soon. I've been reading and reading, correct me If I'm wrong but I can be fine with front camber arms and rear bolts? or I should just go for camber arms all around and the springs?

Reposted from here http://www.the370z.com/brakes-suspen...-scraping.html
To here. I wanted to share my experience with the same noise scraping noise albeit mine was more pronounced as the temps would drops and what I found this weekend will make some sense. I've had this on and off annoying scraping noise for a couple of years :| I could never figure it out blaming tire scrape on the fender liners or the plastic rivets that hold the wheel liner were not holding it in place thinking they moved to cause the scrape sound. I lifted the front end up and decided to take a close look at the swaybar bushings to see that maybe just maybe it would be from there I took them out and found them dry to the bone and thought hum thats what more than likely causing the scraping sound since the plastic bushing was making direct contact or metal in my case to swaybar. I removed and cleaned the bushing and braket and apllied plenty of grease to the inside of the bushings and reinstalled. It was 55º this morning coming to work and where I would normally hear the scraping sound along the drive there was NO MORE scraping sounds coming from the front end. I highly recommend everyone who has encountered this particular sound to just make sure that the front Hotchkis swaybar is greased even after a year of use. Thats all for now carry on :) |
While everyone is putting their Z away for winter, I'm getting mine prepared for it. Ordered a set of 18' Sport Edition A7s with some Blizzak LM60s. I can work from home on snow days but the piece of mind these things will give me over the next few months is well worth it.
