Lowered my rear tire pressure to 26psi. Holy **** it hooks instantly and even no wheel spin using no-lift-shift. I'm hoping to give my friend's SS Camaro a run for its money Friday. Still need to tweak launch control settings. And I'm removing the spare tire, rear carpets, Styrofoam. I want to win dammit he's being so cocky about this. Also running less than half tank of gas

Increase your launch rpm until you get some spin then back it off 100rpms :driving:

I went to a cruise-in last night in Auburn, In.
I took my Vette, but I saw this Z, but no one was around. Does anyone here know who's car this is? I was interested in it because I liked the front lip and side blades. Thanks!

That was my parking spot last year :( and the other lodge across from that is where I drove the curb to reattach my muffler lol

AestheticCM1 05-19-2017 10:24 AM

Drove behind a Shelby and a Ferrari California on the way to work.

I wrapped my Z with a new 3M premium wrap! It's gorgeous! Here's a link to a quick vid I made with my phone on a parking garage.

Z_ealot 05-19-2017 05:55 PM

Replaced the radiator this last weekend and recharged the ac, now on to completing the coolant flush for this weekends project :)

Looks like he spun his tires off the line. You won the race in the first 60 feet.
What was the other car in the second ticket?

No I spun my tires off and caught him somehow. Second ticket was a random Subaru Legacy. Car 509 was the Camaro

I wonder how I'd do if the track was actually prepped and it wasn't 90 degrees out

RN SHARK 05-20-2017 02:39 PM

Didn't make it to ZDayz, but am doing a track weekend at Carolina Motorsports Park. Just blew my rear diff bushing. Time for an upgrade!http://www.the370z.com/members/rn-sh...e97204-cmp.jpg

RN SHARK 05-20-2017 02:40 PM

Side note, will I hurt the car if I track it tomorrow?

onzedge 05-20-2017 03:21 PM

Velocity stacks for the SUs on the 240...

You should be okay as long as your CSC doesn't decide to be an *******. Just keep an eye on your oil temp and fuel level

BLK N-Z34 05-20-2017 05:49 PM

I painted the stock wheels on my Nismo today. Gloss black with a red pinstripe. Tried out a new product and it worked pretty well.

Considering last month I had to replace my transmission, so then I did the Z1 road race clutch kit and CSC delete, I should be good on that front. I just don't want to further damage anything running on the track with the blown rear diff bushing. I've searched, but can't find an answer.
I hope all the black crap comes off my FI exhaust.
I'll probably upgrade to the Wavetrac and SPL bushings.

Z_ealot 05-20-2017 11:08 PM

she's alive!! well at least she was for about 45 minutes when either a hose or the seals for the water pump decided to take a crap, coolant leaking from somewhere but wont be able to tell until tomorrow morning after everything has cooled down. other then that though engine is purring like a kitten and seems to be very happy now with a new radiator and fresh coolant :) P.S. for those on the fence about flushing you cooling system.....please do not neglect it like the previous owner of my car did....

update: found the leak! well at least I hope it's the only leak....leaking from upper radiator hose coupling that goes into the radiator, think the O ring that goes inside the coupling took a crap and no dealership parts departments open today....on top of that now I have to burp the system again once I get everything in order....what a pain lol

How'd you get the pinstripe on there straight? I'd like to do something like this but my freehanding skills are not so great.

If you can get me a good shot of the wheel I can probably tell you how

what paint did you use? I'm trying to make some touch ups on mine for scratches and it looks as glossy as yours.

Engine Oil change and Diff Oil change over the weekend. My baby is ready to ride hard. (i did not clean the oil container between changes so you see some engine oil mixed in with the gear oil)

crazy4oldcars 05-22-2017 11:46 AM

There is a tool I saw on one of the Sunday fixit shows. It's a little paint pot with a wheel to apply the color. Jack the wheel up, spinit it slowly and apply the paint.
I'd be willing to bet your local automotive paint shop has, or can get one.
Your other option is a narrow brush, a slow-spinning wheel, and a steady hand.

That's the one. Comes in different widths, and has a guide.
Hell, I'd have stripes on the trashcan wheels, lol.

I need help because I keep hearing two different answers to one important question. The fluid in my clutch master cylinder is black/brown. I've heard that it's a sign of the CSC failing and it needs to be replaced but I've also heard that it changes colors when the fluid boils and hasn't been changed. Clutch fluid has never been changed as far as I know and the car has 30k miles on it. What do you think is more likely? I'm going to change the fluid either way

Could be both. You mentioned earlier you thought your CSC was going out - what are the symptoms?
