Pulled over, turned her off for one minute and then back on. Everything was ok afterwards. I was scared. Temp only went up to 220.

Got the Z back from the repair shop today. Driver side headlight replaced. Fender fixed. There was small scrape on the bumper from the accident and they repainted the whole bumper and removed every single rock chip on it. Of course the color wouldn't match up with aged paint on the rest of the car (not garaged often). Tried to restore the yellowing passenger headlight. Its clearer, but no where as nice as the brand new one.

Yay I have my car back...time to continue modding!:happydance:
Installed JDM rear fog light to be used with brake lights.
Voodoo13 rear camber arms and toe bolts came in today too.
AAM CAI install sometime this weekend maybe.
Can someone recommend a good, budget dremel that can help with both these mods?

kenchan 08-20-2016 08:13 AM

go to harbor freight for their corded rotary tools. i bought one like 10yrs ago for $12? and it's still working. lol can use dremel bits no issue.

I bring the car to car shows. People look in at the interior but don't shove their face into the foot well. Only person who'd know the pedals were there are me. You're not going to convince me otherwise that it's a dumb idea

I drove my Z a total of 5 miles round trip today JUST to move it from one side of the parking lot to the other. Literally the parking space directly behind the spot I was parked in beforehand.

Why? Because I freakin' wanted to! :happydance::driving:

And a random pic from a couple days ago...

Morbid370z brought his Z over this morning. We flushed his stock brake fluid with some leftover Motul RBF600 I had from earlier this week, adjusted his e-brake at the drum, and installed 20mm spacers all around

Bath day!!! I've been looking around at intake options for the 370. I'm torn between Injen and aam. I'd like to hear some of your opinions between the two. Also any other suggestions you may have. Thanks guys!!! http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...e8513e7648.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...3a567009f0.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...66182dd9fa.jpg

The Z's been starting a little slow recently, so before I get stuck, I bought a new battery today. I'm happy as I got 4 years out of the original, in which the majority drives were short city runs, as I only live 3 miles from my office.

A little more involved than changing most other car batteries, but I was able to figure it out without going to the DIY section.

Between the two, AAM is better because of the relocation in front of the car. I went with the aam recently and love it. I would say look at Aam, Z1, takeda or stillen. They're all pretty similar. Aam has wider tubing and is adjustable at the MAF sensor location.

My line of thinking was aam would be great due to its adjustability. It will mimic the oem plumbing until I get to the point I need to tune. Then I can take advantage of the oversized piping. In the past Injen has never let me down, but that bottleneck is permanent in their plumbing. Thanks for the input!

So finished installing my AAM CAI. One of the pipes where there insert goes was bent in on the end. Fixed with love taps from a hammer.

Haven't went for a test drive yet. Let the car run for awhile, no CEL or any codes.

Now, i have new places to clean.
(Pics upside down. don't know why)

I met up solidus in Orlando yesterday while he was working (law enforcement) to test out my AL Priority laser jammers.. Really cool guy. Even let me play with the LIDAR gun. It's so easy to use it's a little scary. Made a couple of passes, but he was only able to get a speed reading on me after the ALP stopped jamming.

Shout out and thanks to solidus!

DeliriousClam 08-21-2016 01:58 PM

Also found out I have absolutely no idea why my interior lighting went out. (Well I have an idea but I'm hoping I'm wrong) bringing it to work tomorrow to get it checked out

So cleaned my engine bay. Then noticed the power cord sitting on top of the engine brace was scuffing it... :( sooo I pushed it to run underneath it now.... bah!

Oh and dusted the interior and washed the car. Yay nice and shiny for tmr dd.

Minus my tires. I need to restock some supplies.

jchammond 08-21-2016 06:21 PM

It doesn't looks quite as 4x4 as before... Did something change? It's not swifts obviously but gap doesn't look as chasm-like as even a few weeks ago.

Came across this pic and made me curious if you were planning this low or a little above it

To expose what a dork I am, I was thinking of tire pressure.

kenchan 08-22-2016 07:17 AM

I've been keeping an eye out for a decent digital gauge but not much luck. Guess I'll have to pick something up online. Can only find junk..
