White line sway bar upgrade, handling is great now.
'15 base did not come with paddles, there in now, love them.

Did the interior stitching to dark blue, tedious job but looks great.

Should hopefully be going on tomorrow. There's a great satisfaction in doing this whole thing yourself.

Looks great. However, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but that Z logo is upside down. The winglets should be facing upwards, not downwards.

kenchan 05-01-2016 11:30 AM

soggy outside so qd'ed my car and cleaned her up.

i found a 2x2 mm paint damage on the roof dat started under the clearcoat. :ugh: if it worsens i think ill gloss vinyl black the roof. my G has something similar on the quarter panel i found like 8yrs ago which hasnt worsened so might not spread.

Let's hope so. They're a PIA to take off.

kenchan 05-01-2016 06:20 PM

some old guy accidentally placed the Z logo upside down too a while back.. ud think they'd key it for orientation.

I'm debating on putting the inner fender fillers on. I replaced those ******** plastic "grills" with mesh and they blow straight through the inner fender opening..

Oh and **** anyone who says you need the Nismo license plate relocation kit. I re-used the one I had from my stock bumper

Was a couple days ago but finally swapped out the clutch assist spring for one recommended by a fellow member... wow what an improvement! So happy I did

Was it a simple swap or was there more work involved than expected?

JesseG805 05-02-2016 07:06 PM

Tried to install my berk HFCS. Removed everything except the drivers side top bolt that connects the header to the cat. Its stripped. Way to ruin my birthday lol.

Anyone recommend an exhaust shop around San Fernando or Simi valley besides specialty z or precision z? They're pretty damn booked for the next month or so.

Wasn't a 10 minute job like suggested lol although it doesn't take more than 30 minutes but its soo much better

Spooler 05-02-2016 07:32 PM

I drove the new ride in a monsoon on the way home today. Previous owner never drove the car in the rain. She got broke in right. LOL I had a big time. The traction control light flickering at 78 mph in heavy rain will get your attention.

mishuko 05-02-2016 07:42 PM

got a new gopro mount to do on the back hatch... figuring out the angle/settings now.

also tearing apart my damn room to find the friggin remote. argh!!!

Not a problem, I have never had any nanny gadgets before. The car
wasn't even twitching in the rear when it kicked on.

DeliriousClam 05-02-2016 07:59 PM

I keep hearing about clutch helper springs.... Is there a thread somewhere that can fill me in on this?

Memphis370Z 05-02-2016 08:35 PM

Thanks to my very good friend, dragonbreath, we dropped my rear diff, swapped out the cover, put in some Redline, and installed Whiteline diff bushings.

On top of that, he tracked down a rattle that had been driving me crazy the past few months. Get this - my demon bolt had no nut on it, which I find ironic, since everyone seems to have trouble getting the damn thing off. Plus, there was a nut missing on the other HFC. No typical exhaust leak noise, so just kind of weird. It turned out that the bolts were too short to begin with.

Oh, and while my Z was up on jack stands, I noticed that I had a nail in my driver-side rear. Guess I will be putting my Discount Tire road warranty to use sooner than I had expected. Thankful I found this before driving to ZDayZ.

All in all, a great day spent away from work.

The tread is in the engine section. I removed mine over two year ago and never looked back.

there's a clip holding a pin in... get that off and then you can take out the springs. put back in housing. tada! there will be a bit of slack at the top though. i am hoping to get an RJM pedal this weekend maybe lol.
