I have to say, I really like the wheels the more I see of them. I'm a bit mixed after some further reflection on the wing; I think it's nicer

I'm a bit mixed after some further reflection on the wing; I think it's nicer than the current sport package offering, but I wonder how something closer to the S-tune wing would have looked... Definitely prefer the front fascia over the old Nismo front, and really loving those seats, which initially I didn't really care much about. No opinion on the new black interior accents vs the brushed silver, but the red ring around the start button is very silly looking. A GT-R red start would have looked better, and everyone will throw the OEM one in the trash for the red button anyway... Have there been any metrics on handling, braking, cd and acceleration, or nothing yet? Like to see if it does all better than the last iteration and if so, by how much.

The ring actually isn't part of what's replaced when you swap the button. I wonder how the red gtr button with the red ring would look? I think it would be much better than the stock button with red ring. Also if the ring is like a mini halo with some LEDs that would be awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

mine is round too. thought i would never use cruise in my Z, but since the throttle is so sensitive i usually cruise going down those 30-35mph roads just to be safe from speeding.

D4mn! That '15 NizeM0 is look'n good!
Way better look'n front and rear bumpers. And Frontier 3.90 final drive (381000B66A) for the 6MTs, not bad... Liked the '14 and older BIG spoiler than that duck bill POS though. The Rays wheels look better too. The Recaros in red not like'n. Would like to see the Recaros in GREY/SILVER/BLAK instead... I would have to trade my '09 in if this NizeM0 had 380+ hp. Those recaro seats look pretty cool. Any other real good jdm seats to put in a 370? do people not put new seats because of the already heated seats? i always wanted to get some good bride's and add takata harness just for the look

When I saw it in person, I got the impression that Nissan was attempting to expand its target market. The new wing and wheels just seem like they are reaching out to "grown-ups". (Or at least people who want to be viewed as mature adults)
I prefer the more extroverted look of the preveious version. If they wanted an understated NISMO, a "sleeper" approach might have been better IMHO. |

Overall I like it better. I'm not really a big wing kind of guy so I'm OK with the smaller new wing. I love the new seats and I like the new wheel design. Intrigued with the final drive ratio & auto available in this. Of course I'm currently pissed because the CSC is acting up in my manual at 5700 miles.... arrrggghhh!

comfort level is good. I rode in it a few miles and its a big improvement. the bolsters while not as high as the Juke RS they fit me really well.. the alcantara inserts are nice as well. Its not just better looking it gives the whole car a more upscale feel when sitting in them

Looking at what Nissan did with the '15 Nismo. Tells me that it will be another 2 years or so before they release an all new Z.

When all is said and done, Nissan is still a corporation that's out to make profit. If this avenue becomes a massive success to pull in cash, then they'll beat that cow until it's a fine red mist. However I don't think the new look will be all that successful. The 370Z was already a beautiful car, and I'm sure we can all agree it's not just the car's appearance that's causing dismal sales. It might boost sales up because of the renewed interest and there being an automatic NISMO, but I'm thinking the 370Z market is already oversaturated. Most everyone who wants one, already does. I'm willing to guess that most of the 2015 NISMO buyers will be people who trade in an older Z for it. It also doesn't help that the casual driver doesn't know the difference between the 350 and 370... thus in their mind, this car has been around for 12 years. The new Mustang, Stingray and FR-S are all my coworkers like to talk about right now. They respect the Z, but are still waiting for the next generation before getting serious about it. It doesn't matter if she's gonna be a 400+ HP to challenge the American muscle cars or goes below the 300 HP range to battle it out with the Toyobaru twins... they just wanna see a totally new Z. Everyone knows the 2015 NISMO is just a new shell. Cheaper to just bodykit an old Z than buy a new one for just the shell. In any case, as an earlier poster pointed out, the team that designed the 2015 NISMO look, is highly unlikely to be the same team designing the next generation Z. This is just a diversion to give Nissan another year to finish whatever they need to finish. |

I expect the current model to be around for a couple of more model years... maybe a new one for '17
"Nissan has said it will instead concentrate on evolving the standard Fairlady Z/370Z in a more performance-oriented direction during the model's sunset years. The first evidence of this came just last week with the recently unveiled 2015 370Z NISMO, a performance model with enhanced aerodynamics over the 2014 version and improved handling in the high-speed range. Throughout its life, the Fairlady Z/370Z Roadster utilized the same 3.7-liter V6 generating 350 hp and 276 lb-ft of torque as its hard-top counterpart. With an available six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission, both offering with rev-matching downshifts, riding on a shortened wheelbase version of Nissan's front-midship platform it has served its purpose well. However, it has been rumored that the next-gen Z-car will be smaller and lighter than the 370Z, the first time Nissan will have reduced the model's displacement since the 240Z's introduction in October 1969."
