Never do bro. Left feet is redundant.

Why is that? I've been driving automatics two-footed for over 40 years.

apparently it's faster reaction time using one foot vs two according to something that I think I read/heard somewhere.

I've heard that a LOT. Even had a license examiner threaten to fail me over it. But, so far, I haven't seen/heard anything from what I would consider a reliable source - it's all "I heard/read it somewhere."

I have a hard time believing that someone can lift their right foot off the accelerator, move it over to the brake pedal, and then press the brake, faster than someone can lift-right-foot-press-left-foot. Not really reaction time but the time involved getting one foot from point A to point B.

But I could be wrong. I would be very interested to see any data one way or the other. Not that I'm going to change my habits after all these years, but I'd like to know.

Using one foot has nothing to do with speed. It just prevents you from accidentally riding the brake when you're not braking or riding the gas when you're braking.

Yea that whole "never use your left foot" is a load a ... I am always using my left foot ... wait, oh yea, I have a 6MT.

Look at some of the NASCAR in-car foot action. Some of those guys are trailbraking into corners with their left foot. And they have clutch pedals. But they tend to be amongst the more spirited drivers.

If one is no more coordinated than that, maybe one shouldn't be driving at all.
