Yes! They weighed a Nissan 370Z with full tank of gas and it came out to be 1499 kg. I used the 1 kg = 2.2 lbs formula and get 3297.8 lbs. That's good enough for me. I give Nissan Thumbs up for keeping the car below 3300 even with a bigger displacement, new safety protocols, etc.

See... I Thought it would not weigh as much as some of the reviews have shown.... Not sure how the reviewers numbers get inflated so much.

How much weight does a full tank of gas add? I plan to run mine half full!

Care to explain what that means? I'm guessing it means that the car is just relatively even from Left to Right? I don't really know though, please explain

Sport package comes with that black chin spoiler in the front. This yellow one looks like it has it so I assume this car has the sport package.

According to the owners manual the 370z holds 19gal of unleaded gasoline.

According to imperial measurments gasoline weighs between 5.9 and 6.5lb/gal depending on the fuel mixture.

According to math (using an average weight of 6.2lb/gal for gasoline) a full tank of gas on the 370z would weigh 117.8lbs....

When I autox a car I run at 1/4tank of fuel, no spare, no jack, removed floormats. Based on the above information in this thread we can assume that a B Stock SCCA Solo II 370z would weigh:

Stock (full tank of gas): 3,342lbs
minus 3/4 tank of gas: 88lbs
minus spare (conservative): 30lbs
minus jack/floormats: 5lbs
TOTAL: 3,219lbs

This doesn't even take into account the fact you can run lighters wheels/tires (20-30lbs here), hollow front anti-roll bar (2-3lbs here), and a lighter weight exhaust (prepare to loose around 30-40lbs here).

I think it's safe to say that a B Stock SOLO II car can be under 3,200lbs race ready.

I just wanted to check on the tire weight issue. Stock Bridgestone RE050A's in the 370z's size are 30lbs a piece (odd that the front and rear are different sizes but the same weight).

Hoosier A6 Autocross tire (oversized):
265 Front:23lbs
295 Rear: 25lbs

Savings - 24lbs

Hoosier A6 Autocross tire (standard):
235 Front - 21lbs
265 Rear - 23lbs

Savings - 32lbs

So you could save up to 32lbs just on tires alone (not even touching the wheels yet).

The 370z front wheels are about 22 lbs and rears are 27 lbs, pretty light for 19 inch wheels. That is assuming the tires are 30 lbs.

I think 3340ish is about right, as the reviewers have claimed.

This is with a full take of gas.

Since the Bose sub is located inside the actual spare, does anyone know if we will be able to remove all the spare tire junk while still keeping the speaker there and vibration-free?
