Not a concern of mine. Base 370z + Sports package for me

WHEEL WEIGHTS:

I did some checking and indeed the factory Rays are claimed to be VERY VERY light. Speculation is in the range of 20% lighter than the NISMO wheels that were on the 2007 NISMO. That's simply incredible. Without spending a fortune on wheels (or going to a smaller diameter which is not legal in the B Stock class that I'm talking about), you'd be hard pressed to drop more than 1lb per corner from wheel weight. I found the Enki RP03 in factory sizes that will be about 1lb/wheel lighter for about $380/wheel. If you want to drop a significant ammount of weight (3-4lbs) per wheel then you would need to go with some custom forgline or ccw wheels ($1500~/wheel).

Personally I will be using the stock wheels for autox (with Hoosiers on them), and a set of custom wheels for the street (with Toyo T1S's on them) because the stock wheels are just so damn light.

I just wanted to check on the tire weight issue. Stock Bridgestone RE050A's in the 370z's size are 30lbs a piece (odd that the front and rear are different sizes but the same weight).

Hoosier A6 Autocross tire (oversized):
265 Front:23lbs
295 Rear: 25lbs

Savings - 24lbs

Hoosier A6 Autocross tire (standard):
235 Front - 21lbs
265 Rear - 23lbs

Savings - 32lbs

So you could save up to 32lbs just on tires alone (not even touching the wheels yet).

The 370z front wheels are about 22 lbs and rears are 27 lbs, pretty light for 19 inch wheels. That is assuming the tires are 30 lbs.

I'd like to see how the cross weight changes (or doesn't) as fuel is removed. Also, it would be nice to see how driver weight effects the cross weight.

Most definitely, so would I. Someone, quickly, pick up your new 370Z and drive it straight to my house so I can put it on the scales.

The driver weight does affect the crossweight quite a bit. That is why any reputable alignment place will corner balance the car with you sitting in the driver's seat incase of coilovers.

Well from what I have learned the peal in the monterey blue actually absorbs light and transfers it to power for the engine to consume less fuel and make gobbs more power.

Black does weight less, all the rain droplets evaporate instantly b/c of the heat the Black paint accumulates, while white cars will just gather the rain droplets

I would assume this as well for the Monterey blue, except the pearl wont even let the rain touch the car too sexy.

Damn it Shumby! LOL

Black weighs 10lbs more per gal. White however weighs -1Lbs per gal.

AND YOU'RE ALL WRONG!!! The weight is 1499Kg. That's 3304.73 Lbs.

Do the math:
1KG = 2.20462 Lbs
1499 * 2.20462 = ????

That's right! 3304.72931

Any questions?
