Go figure, a guy I kinda knew back in Omaha put one of the 5.3L truck motors into his E30. But, he only drag strips it, no road course sadly

Hard to argue with how easy it is to mod those motors, and how well they take them. Not to mention how cheap...

Exactly, man I would love to shoe horn an E39 M5 V-8 or better yet an E60 M5 V-10 in there but I think I'll pass on the 10K+ easy for that price tag. The only problem is with those swaps it's so hard to piece together the oil pan and everything else needed to make that beast of a motor work in a car it was never meant for lol. But I'm determined one day to make it happen.
