rhood..................

I have not scheduled my install because of the bad weather we've had. Don't want to drive the 180 miles round trip with all that junk on the turnpike.

Did those guys do your install with just a camera or a complete kit like I bought?

by the sound of it, it was not the factory camera like you bought. reason I say that is the factory camera (the clarion unit you have), puts lines on the display. there's no way around it, its the one and only reason that the box is required. (that and to turn the NAV to rear view when you go in reverse).

your parts man is correct; you can get it from the murano, G37, GTR (JDM), FX#, etc etc. its all the same.

It came with a switch, harness and connectors. They had it installed in about 1 1/2 hrs. Very clean works great. Not sure how true it is but was told thats its not the camera that has the backup lines in it, its the head unit that makes the lines??

^^ IN order for the camera to turn on in reverse, you have to hit the switch?

And to answer your question, its the camera control unit (CCU) that puts in the lines.

Has there been any updates to this thru Nissan? Package details and arrival dates....?

That's the downside to this backup camera kit.

We need to find someone who can translate Japanese to English.
That done.......I would be glad to share it with everyone.
