Default Stock hood alignment

Forgive me if there has already been a thread on this but I did a search and didnt find anything. My stock hood is not fitting properly. The drivers side is sticking up about a 1/4 of an inch above the fender. Does anyone know if any adjustments can be made without visiting a body shop? Thanks in advance guys!

Use a little force when you close the hood, you can't pu$$y it. I had to start doing the same thing a day or two after buying it.

Really? I dont remember ever having this issues before. I usually lower the hood gently and then drop it from about 6-8". The latches are definitely grabbing on both sides.

I noticed the first few times shutting my hood that one side looked out of allignment so I started to give it some force and everything was good. Your issue might be different

Was it like this before your TT install? Not knocking on it, but maybe it has something to do with that?

Maybe double check to see if there's any loose things around that area.

Aren't there two latches (or whatever) on the hood? I closed it once and only one side latched, the other I had to press down on to get it to latch.

After getting my oil changed I saw them do the same thing, but other side.

Now I just make sure that I close it with a bit of force (as others have said a lot already).

Now if something's stopping/hitting it, then that's a different story. Get out the dremel or sawzall...

Just let go of the hood at about 10-13in above the normal closed position, just make sure u hold it with one hand and at hood center position, in case if it still does not close properly u can also twist bend it SLIGHTLY until u reach proper alignment, although you hood may be defective pics plz next time

I know what you mean when only one side latches but that is not what is happening. The gap across the front of the hood/bumper looks pretty damn even. I looks around under the hood and didnt see anything that looks like it would be in the way. I will try and get a few pictures up for you guys

I was kind of thinking maybe it got tweeked by being held up by the hood strut for an extended period of time? (It does get propped up from the drivers side)

I had the same issue when I first got my Z. Then one day investigating it further I noticed there were two latches and then I shut if more firmly. If it wasn't for that last look, It was going back to the dealer to give me a new car.

I agree with infidel.
