Exclamation my Z got f***** during shipment

so I placed an order for a brand new 2014 GM base/sport that arrived dec 10. I got a surprise phone call telling me the Z came loose during the shipment and hit a car on both sides. needless to say my Z is DAMAGED

meanwhile, I found a 2011 GM nismo listed for 31.5k with 11k miles and extended warranty at another dealership 50 miles out. I'm leaning towards this nismo because of the great deal.

HOWEVER, here's the real twist. I went back to the original dealership that ordered my car and haggled with them to replace the front and rear with nismo bumpers and paint it at no charge. well after a few days they called me back this morning to tell me they will custom order the bumpers and install at no charge

I haven't seen anyone on this forum that got nismo bumpers put on as a factory option so question is: which Z would you choose in my position? a used nismo for 34k OTD or a new base/sport with nismo kit no spoiler for 35k OTD ?

other than it being a new car, I'm more or less worried about the new owner depreciation hit. if you wanted the nismo look wouldn't you just end up getting a nismo instead ?

My vote is to be legit and get an actual Nismo.

Nothing more disappointing to come close to a car and find out its not what you thought it was.

But again thats jus me

I wouldn't want a new car that's been repainted before I ever took delivery.

agreed, about the first part, well the second too I suppose but I wouldn't want my brand new car to have a scratch on it, let alone major repairs done like new bumpers etc.

Didn't get a chance to snap pics because when I went to look at it my phone was dead from not charging it last night. Fail i know but rear bumper is completely dented near the plates and the front is dented in pretty bad, too.

I'll actually go and snap a few pics within the next few days while it's still sunny out and when they're not closed.

I would check the aluminum crash bars and all the goodies behind the bumpers first. Dealership might be laughing at you thinking you're getting a good deal on"aftermarket" bumpers when in actuality the damage is much more severe behind the scenes...

Getting a wind tunnel tuned body kit is a good idea. However, I would check the damage behind the bumpers first then go from there.
