it's on the s550 forum, apparently by the informant who leaked the early headlight/interior/engine size information.

If by rumor, you mean an Edmunds article (they were wrong about everything on the s550), then yes, that is true.

I would have stayed, but it got weird. One of the guys was sort of implying that you only had two options:

1) heavier but better handling

2) lighter but worse handling
