Ok, good luck with all of that. I love the infinite wisdom of people who were teenagers two years ago. Tell us more about how much you know about these things.

You realize we're trying to tell you some things so you don't spend your late twenties digging yourself out of a hole you dug for yourself at 21, right?

hes right. Summary, dont buy another damn car yet!! :tiphat:

Apparently he agreed with this. I can't find it, but he said it's in here somewhere.

So don't save and put 5k down on a brz/wrx with a 3-4k trade in (around next March-july depending on the saving) even tho it would save me about 450 a month?

If that's the smart thing I won't so it. Just makin sure

No no. I agreed that buying an expensive car and getting even further Into debt is a stupid idea and irresponsible

Don't buy another new car. Why eat the depreciation on one and turn around and do it again? Go ahead and buy a different car, but buying new is a bad idea in your situation.

Pitch 12-23-2013 02:26 PM

So buy a used brz/wrx? Or you mean like 2005 carolla used?

I said earlier why not loo at 13 or 14 Z in a few years?

Pitch 12-23-2013 02:28 PM

Well z was never an option. Insurance goes up and gas ain't much better so it wouldn't net me any kind of savings really

I know you were exaggerating there, but it's going to be hard to find financing for a 2005 corolla. It's too old at this point. ;)

If the BRZ is what gets you going, then sure, find a good stock one still under the manufacturer's warranty.

I have a feeling BRZ insurance will get raised every single year as people crash them. Something to keep in mind.

If you're looking for noticeable gas savings, a turbo Subaru isn't going to do it for you. Especially if you've got a heavy foot.

Yeah, both of mine guzzled gas like a small block v8. Hell, if you're looking for a fun car that's surprisingly good on gas, look at Vettes.

18? According to my math that would save me 60 or so a month in gas. But Insurance raises like 120 for me.

The brz driven with a lead foot still gets upwards of 30. Ill say 26 for fun. That would save me another 50 on top of the 370, and insurance will drop 100 (I'm switching companies soon so that's why the big drop)
